YAO DASH
only had the 3 race starts in his first racing preparation. He earned $158,250 in these 3 starts by scoring a win in record time on debut over 1200m at Canterbury, followed by a win in record time over 1300m at Randwick and then was thrown in the deep end to run in the Gr1 1400m Golden Rose when he took on the best 3yo’s in the country finishing 1.5 lengths 4th to BIVOUAC – YES YES YES and EXCEEDANCE.

Looking to the future with YAO DASH we avoided the temptation to push on with him and sent him to the paddock for a well deserved break and allow him to unwind with early the spring sun on his back before preparing for an Autumn preparation. Since then:

YES YES YES winning the Everest

YES YES YES has had 2 race preparations and 8 race starts when he claimed the EVEREST.

BIVOUAC
is the yardstick colt of the generation and EXCEEDANCE had beaten him in the Gr2 Run to the Roses before the Gr1 Golden Rose.

Both these boys haven’t raced since but are heading to the Gr1 Coolmore Stakes at Flemington.

COLADA who YAO DASH defeated into 3rd on debut is the last start winner of the Gr2 Stan Fox 1500m

CASTLEVECCHIO
finished 2.5lengths behind YAO DASH in the Golden Rose then ran 2nd in the Gr1 Spring Champion Stakes.

PETRONIUS ran second to YAO DASH on debut and then won his next start at Randwick

FUNSTAR
had no excuses when beaten by YAO DASH at Randwick and she then came out and won the Gr2 Tea Rose 1400m and then the Gr1 Flight Stakes 1600m.

EMERALDS
was 3rd in the Randwick event then finished 4th in the Gr2 Tea Rose.

PRETTY BRAZEN
ran last to YAO DASH at Randwick and she won at Caulfield on Saturday over 1400m

PANDEMIC
ran fourth and then ran a close up 3rd in the Heritage Stakes over 1100m

With what we have seen above and looking forward to the
Manikato Stakes with Bivouac and the Coolmore Stud Stakes with Exceedance taking on the best 3yo sprinters around at that time, the formlines have been outstanding around YAO DASH and we know that with growth, strength, education and maturity and knowing our horse enjoys wet tracks and will be better at 1600m more than the short course trips the future looks bright.
